Accident Summary:
On short final to one-ship LZ with trps supplies & full load of fuel plt noticed area was unsuitable for ldg & began a left pedal turn lost lift & began sinking he pulled in power to stop dexcent & at 40 lbs of torque rpm bled off he reduced pitch to regain rpm & tried to cushion acft onto gnd acft struck gnd with zero airspd bending both skids.
