Comment: I dated Captain Lou Litchfield up until his death on April 27, 2008. He died of a massive heart attack. I was by his side when he passed. Lou served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1975. He trained at Fort Rucker AL. Lou was a helicopter pilot 71st Assault Helicopter Company, 14th Combat Aviation Battalion. He received a bronze star as well as purple heart and many other awards from the military. Lou was an accomplished man. He served on the Georgia State Legislative Counsel as well as private practice as an attorney. He graduated cum laude with a masters degree juris doctorate from Armstrong College in GA as well as a masters degree in history magna cum laude from GA STATE U.
He was a wonderful man, full of fun and life. He loved golfing, reading, politics, crossword and cryptic puzzles. He enjoyed playing bridge and loved art, musicals and classical music. He was a fantastic guy and life was never boring with him around!!!
I would love to hear from anyone who knew Lou and could share some stories about him with me. He is greatly missed and will be fondly remembered!!
