Comment: John was in the Huey that pulled me out the first time I was shot down. I remember Johns last name because he was fairly new and was taught to pull the chopper battery, dumping the acid in his groin when removing the battery from the front compartment. He was in a lot of pain and was grounded for 6 wks with burns. Nice guy and have fond memories of him.
